A Flor de Roma

And here's another oil painting, very easy to do, and it can perfectly serve as an example of what you can do,  right in the first moments. No experience, let alone technical knowledge. What matters is that we let ourselves be excited by the painting, that we can feel it, tell us something, and if your objective is not to commercialize it or exhibit it in a gallery, then start now.

As I was saying, it is a field of flowers, the Daisies, with their hearts of gold, completely dressed in white; they are really very beautiful. I will say right away that it is just an illustration of a dedication in verse, to a Great Portuguese woman in Rome, with Our Lady of Fatima, on the main face; this does not detract from its value, I suddenly remember one of these Sundays ago our Rector (another great reference in Rome) in his Sunday homily, quoting the Bible, and referring to Belem, saying that it was not at all, the smallest of the cities of Israel; being then an illustration of the verses, it must somehow identify with them, and so it is: we see in the foreground the Daisies, and then above the Sky, divided into two parts: the lower and clearer the sky that we all see, and in our own way we know, and higher up a darker blue sky, the Deep and unknown Sky; as if dividing the two skies, the clouds, which, in their own way, associating themselves with and also paying homage to the Daisies, are arranged in the shape of an M; We also see that the Daisies that have already fulfilled their earthly mission and have done so in a glorious way, like those in Jardim das Margaridas, detach themselves and rise across the known sky and enter the Deep Sky, towards the Enchanted Garden or Eternal. The way they will reach their destination without detours is due to the Great Star as you can see in the verses to our Rector on this same site.

The practical way of doing it is actually very simple: a layer of acrylic plaster on the wood, to start with, and then start with the flowers, avoiding the sharp contours, which require time and skill, and painting them a little blurred, placing the larger ones a little at the front, and with a darker, or warmer color; on the back a little smaller, discolored, with a bluish tendency, the others; if they look like that or a little different, it doesn't matter, because not being a photograph, their contours can be varied; everything else works the same way; the front part, of course, was executed with the help of the precious, priceless and always faithful proxxon drill, with flexible extension and end bits. Good job.

    Thanks for the visit.
