HobbyGaia - Paintings - Oil painting. The charm of hobbies, is always doing something new, or at least some variant, but having a very precise objective. This time I used the mold (G4-30), made with silicon resin from Prochima, which has excellent characteristics, so I see no reason to change. But to fill them, not all their products satisfy me one hundred percent. The liquid metal, is of high price, and very heavy; the Marmorina is of a lower price, but being very dense, it is also not very slight, although it has excellent resolution (always take care to stir slowly, and tap lightly under the mold to eliminate any air bubbles); the resins are not exactly to my liking. In order to maintain a slight and economical result, after using serrim with glue (a little painful because it must be sifted), this time I used a paste of ground coffee (one Euro per 1 / 4kg) with glue, achieving the proposed objectives: slight , unbreakable, resistant, economical, and fast. The dark part of the Colosseum, not painted, is the color of the cafe itself. It was glued on two boards, lined with litter, and all painted with oil, the first being almost obligatory, to cancel out the slight tendency to bend and painted with the same colors and the second to give it a slightly larger dimension. The frame was made of small rulers of wood, a little superimposed as that to form an amphitheater, characteristic of the own Coliseum... To experience absolutely!!!

 

HobbyGaia - Pinturas - Pintura a oleo. O charme dos hobbies, esta em fazer sempre algo de novo, ou pelo menos com alguma variante, mas tendo um obectivo bem preciso. Desta vez usei o molde (G4-30), feito com resina siliconica da Prochima, que tem optimas caracteristicas, pelo que nao vejo razao para mudar. Mas para os encher, nem todos os seus produtos me satisfazem a cem por cento. O metal liquido,  è de preço elevado, e muito pesado; a Marmorina, é de preço inferior, mas sendo bastante densa, tambem nao e muito ligeira, embora tenha excelente resoluçao (tenha sempre o cuidado de mexer lentamente, e bater levemente debaixo do molde, para eliminar qualquer bolha de ar); as resinas nao sao propriamente a meu gosto. Para manter um resultado ligeiro e economico, depois de usar serrim com cola (um pouco trabalhoso por dever ser peneirado), desta vez usei uma pasta de café moido (um Euro por 1/4kg)com cola, conseguindo atingir os objectivos proposto: ligeiro, inquebravel, resistente, economico,e rapido. A parte escura do Coliseu, nao é pintada, é a cor do proprio cafe. Foi colada em duas tabuas, revestidas a serapilheira, e tudo pintado a oleo, sendo a primeira quase obrigatoria, para anular a ligeira tendencia a encurvar e pintada com as mesmas cores e a segunda para lhe dar uma dimensao um pouco maior. A moldura foi feita de pequenas reguas de madeiras, um pouco sobrepostas como que a formar um anfiteatro, caracteristica do proprio Coliseu... De experimentar absolutamente!!!
