When in the distant 1982 Sony created the unforgettable slogan "It's a Sony", which quickly spread, becoming a true legend, certainly not it happened by chance: the quality of their devices was very high and much appreciated, like that of this TC377, so unsurprisingly, the destination was set. Years later, when their products started to appear in supermarkets, something changed, but our TC377 is from those times, which led to It's a Sony!!!

With its 11 kg weight, it is practically indestructible, with highly precise mechanics, clearly visible on the inside.

It has some really interesting features, such as an excellent long-lasting ferrite head, with a great frequency response, and less attenuation in the highs, possibility of playing four channels, some particular recording modes, etc.

Surely it should be clean and oiled.

Particular attention may be given to the function selector: it only works with the coils inserted, and if it still trips, check the long wire that comes to it from the ribbon sensor, which, in addition to actuating the micro-switch, also acts on that selector. to keep it mechanically working, only in the presence of the tape. (red traced direction - carefully clean the bottom), so if this defect occurs, don't quickly discard this excellent R2R, and worry more about checking for the lack of any screws, or other obvious signs of having been opened. Also check the capacitor/resistance (filter 100nF/120 Omhs 500V - PSR .1/120) located in the voltage selector, and in case of heavy smoke, it must be checked; note that the filter consists of two components, so if you cannot find the two integrated, place them separately in series. Final score: The electronics of the TC377, really interesting and of high quality, unfortunately could not take the 100%, it will only be with 50... and this is because the excellent mechanical part, well deserves the other 50!!!

... and if you appreciate the good music of vinyl records, remember that this system is very equivalent, probably even superior, and you can still make excellent recordings of some rare and valuable records, or of friends, and that don't wants (or can) make them spin many times!!!.

Quando no distante 1982 a Sony criou o inesquecivel slogan "It's a Sony", que rapidamente se espalhou, tornando-se numa verdadeira lenda, certamente isso nao aconteceu por acaso: a qualidade dos seus aparelhos era altissima e muito apreciada, como a deste TC377, pelo que sem surpresas, o destino estava marcado. Anos mais tarde, quando os seus produtos começaram a aparecer nos supermecados, algo mudou, mas o nosso  TC377 é bem daqueles tempos, que levaram ao It's a Sony!!!

       Com os seus 11 kg de peso, é praticamente indestrutivel, com uma mecanica de altissima precisao, bem visivel na parte interior.

     Possui algumas caracteristicas verdadeiramente interessantes, como uma excelente cabeça em ferrite de longa duraçao, com uma grande resposta em frequencia, e menor atenuaçao nas altas, possibilidade de reproduzir quatro canais, alguns modos particulares de gravaçao, etc.

       Certamente devera ser limpo e oleado.

       Particular atençao podera precisar o selector de funçoes: so funciona com as bobinas inseridas, e se mesmo assim se desarma, controle o longo arame que lhe chega vindo do sensor da fita, que alem de actuar o micro-switch, actua tambem no referido selector para o manter mecanicamente funcionante, so em  presença da fita. (direçao traçado vermelho - limpe cuidadosamente a parte inferior), pelo que se este defeito se verificar, nao descarte rapidamente este excelente R2R, e preocupe-se mais em verificar a falta de qualquer parafuso, ou outros sinais evidentes de ter sido aberto. Verifique tambem o condensador/resistencia (filtro 100nF/120 Omhs 500V - PSR .1/120) que se encontra no selector de voltagem, e em caso de fumo intenso, devera ser obrigatoriamente controlado; repare que o filtro e constituido por dois componentes, pelo que se nao encontrar os dois integrados, coloque-os separadamente em serie.         Pontuaçao final: A electronica do TC377, verdadeiramente interessante e de alta qualidade, infelizmente nao podera levar os 100%, ficara apenas com 50... e  isto porque a excelente parte mecanica, bem merece os outros 50!!!

       ... e se aprecia a boa musica dos discos de vinyl, lembre-se de que este sistema é muito equivalente, provavelmente até superior, e pode ainda fazer excelentes gravaçoes de alguns discos, raros e valiosos, ou de amigos, e que nao os quer (ou pode) fazer girar muitas vezes!!!.
